What’s in a Name?

By Rachel Heaps, Education Director Here at Jacobs Camp, we like to call our cabins something a little more interesting than 1, 2, 3, 4, etc.. And since our education theme this summer is Israel – in honor of Israel’s 65th Birthday – all of our cabins have Israel-themed names, giving our campers an extra link to the Israel they are learning about all summer.. Olim cabins are named after Israeli treats and snacks; Bamba (peanut butter-flavored puffed cheetos), Bissli (a crunchy snack similar to fried pasta), Kif Kef (an Israeli Kit Kat), and Krembo (a chocolate-coated marshmallow).
