Our Development Director, Ellen Alexander, was recently named "Outstanding Development Professional of the Year" by the Grinspoon Institute for Jewish Philanthropy.
We are proud to announce that Ellen Alexander, who has served as Jacobs Camp's Development Director for the last two years, was recently named "Outstanding Development Professional of the Year" by the Grinspoon Institute for Jewish Philanthropy at their annual Jewish Camps Conference, which took place November 4-5 in Springfield, Massachusetts.
Ellen was recognized not only for her outstanding work in support of Jacobs Camp, but for her being an examplar in the field - a professional to whom other development professionals look to for guidance and advice.

This award marks the third year in a row that Jacobs has been honored by the Grinspoon Institute. In 2010, we were named "Camp of the Year" for our overall work in fundraising, leadership development, and institutional advancement. In 2011, our alumnus and big supporter Alan Franco received the "Outstanding Philanthropist Award" for his support, through the Goldring Family Foundation, of first-time camper incentives, as well as his work in support of many important Jewish causes. And now, in 2012, Ellen is named "Outstanding Development Professional."
