Infirmary Adminstrator

The Infirmary Administrator is responsible for all aspects of Infirmary operations including personnel management, scheduling & supporting our visiting doctors and nurses.
Qualifications:
- 21 or older. Valid U.S. drivers license.
- Interest in pursuing a career in either the health sciences or health services fields.
- Maturity & professionalism, ability to maintain confidentiality.
- A pleasant demeanor, able to interface with children, teens & adults.
- Organizational skills.
- Ability to stay calm in an emergency situation.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the overall condition of the Infirmary on an ongoing basis.
- Manage Infirmary supplies, inventory, & equipment.
- Supervise cleaning staff in their work within the Infirmary.
- When needed, transport campers or staff to the apropriate medical facility for treatment or medication.
- Serve as "consistency" in the Infirmary as visiting doctors, nurses and support staff rotate in and out. Play an active role in staff transition & new staff orientation. Transmit appropriate and relevant information regarding campers and policies to incoming medical staff.
- Insure all record-keeping is done consistently with Camp policies, and that standards of confidentiality are maintained with medical records.
- May be called upon to interface with parents in both emergency and routine situations.
- When campers or staff members are confined to the Infirmary, manage & oversee schedule of routine care.
- When needed, submit incident reports and workers compensation documents.
- Staff all medicine dispensing sessions and daily sick calls.
- Interface regularly with the Camper Care Director and the Camp Director.
